Hi everyone! I have been in my new Lubbock home for about 6 weeks. My family has done a lot of work to get it just right for me and I want to show you around!

My house in on the corner next to a park with a playground!

This is the side of my house where the garage is.

Come on in! I wanna show you around.

Here is the fancy living room with our new couch. Mommy and Daddy (and Grammy and Pops) spent a lot of time painting these wall panels gray. Then my Daddy installed these special doors that lead to the doggie room.

This room also has a pretty cool fireplace.
Here is the room where I get to eat. It is one of my favorite places in the house. The dogs like it too because I feed them some of my leftovers.

My dinning room is right near where I help with laundry and wash and dry my hands!

The laundry room is by the big room with the red car that takes me to school.

Here is the kitchen where Daddy and Mommy fix my dinner. They repainted this room and I think it looks great, though taking down all the cabinet doors off and putting them back on didn't seem like much fun!

We also have a sun room which has lots of cool plants that I get to help take care of. My mommy picked out the color of the room and painted it to make it more relaxing for me.

Here is the fancy dining room that my family put a cool new color on the walls. We never eat in here, but the table makes me feel important when I sit at it.

When you go down our stairs, you come to the family room. This is where I watch Yo Gabba Gabba. There's plenty of room to dance along.

It took my family awhile to repaint the room but I am glad they did!

There is also a spot for "adults only". I don't spend time here, but it looks nice!

Here is my room!! I love it. There are plenty of toys to play with and mommy picked a great color for my new room!!

Here is our downstairs guest room. The bed is SO comfortable. This is where you can stay when you come visit me! This was just a boring empty white room not too long ago!

Here is my bathroom. I share it with people when they visit. I love to take baths here! After I get out of the bath, I like to lie on the rug under my cozy towel to keep warm.

Now let's go OUTSIDE! I love to hang out with my 'rents on the patio.

They have big plans for the backyard, I hear. Now, let's go back inside and head upstairs.

This is the office. I don't really like this place because there aren't any toys and the bathroom isn't a fun as mine! At least the new paint looks nice.

My mommy and daddy sleep in this room. We have family cuddle time here too! Of course, my parents thought it was a great idea to repaint this room too...

Here is the master bathroom. I love to turn on the water when no one is around. Why would the builder put the faucet within my reach? This is also my favorite color that my mommy chose for the house.

Okay, that is the end of the tour - come visit me sometime when I am not covered up with work!

Mr. Bojangles, Dance

Miles was pleasantly surprised to hear some live music when we walked out of a local Mexican food restaurant. He danced in a ragged shirt and baggy pants with worn out shoes.

The Super Music Friends Show - Miles Edition

In addition to being enamored with Yo Gabba Gabba these days, Miles maintains his love affair for The Lumineers. Here is a brief clip of us capturing his musical stylings (at least until he is distracted by the "big truck!").

My Future's So Bright...

Miles, Andrew, and I recently took a trip to Columbia so that Miles' Daddy could defend his dissertation! The meeting itself went very well and a fun time was had by all. Indeed, Miles and Mommy got to go to the Candy Factory and see how candy is made. It was pretty magical.

In terms of recent developments, Miles is initiating full conversations (with himself) and knows plenty of words that he uses to charm us into getting exactly what he wants. One of his favorite games to play with his Mommy is the "laughing game" in which we try to see who can come up with the silliest laugh (reminiscent of this delightful scene from Mary Poppins). He has come up with some pretty freaky ones.

Really, though, Miles' favorite new activity is showing people how cool he looks in sunglasses.

In fact, he was stealing ours so often, we decided to bust out the toddler-sized ones that we have had on reserve.
