Andrew and I finally decided (drum roll please):
Miles Gene Littlefield
We were headed down to Texas for a baby shower this past weekend. Our plan was to bring along a baby name book to see if we happened upon any names that beat out our short list, which at the time consisted of Miles and Martin. We briefly considered other contenders (e.g., Waldon) before we decided on Miles. I think it will suit our kid no matter how he turns out. The name has a lot of different meanings: calm, peaceful, merciful, and soldier.
While we were down visiting with my Mom, we decoupaged some wooden letters for the nursery that spell out his name. The "M" is decorated with some robots; "I" with some puppies; "L" with some dinosaurs; "E" with some owls and musical notes; and "S" with some monkeys. They look awesome! I will have to post a picture of the final product once the nursey is set up. Now we are shooting for Mother's Day. Hopefully, it will all be put together by then.
Stay tuned for photos from family-hosted baby showers and a update on the Belly...COMING SOON!
